Hi,
I'm not sure this is the right spot for this question but I couldn't really find another one. I'm a writer (but not a programmer) and finding a good writing tool that supports markdown has been a challenge. There are some really good ones for Linux (such as Caret and Remarkable) but they do not seem to be able to be installed on Solus. I think that Solus is far and away the most elegant of the Linux distros that I have spent time with (such as the various flavors of Ubuntu, OpenSUSE and Mint). The developers have done a terrific job making a very complete and stable OS but my whole purpose for building up my Linux box was as a writing tool so I am finding myself a bit stymied.
From what I can see most of the text editors available on Solus like Sublime, Atom and Vim (all of which CAN do MD with some tweaking) are really powerful programming tools which I don't need and quite frankly don't want. There are some decent writing tools like Focus Writer (no Markdown support) and Ghostwriter (which feels incomplete) but nothing really designed for a writer. Ultimately Sublime is probably the one I will likely use as I can customize it well enough to suit my needs but it's not ideal.
Does anyone have a suggestion for a capable writing tool that could handle long form (book), supports markdown and is more oriented to writing as opposed to programming? I have been looking and testing out everything I could find in the Software Center and in Snap and I feel I must be overlooking something.
Thanks
I didn't find the right solution from the internet.
